You know, I know it’s wrong to be an energy hog, but DAY-UM, I am glad I can turn my own AC off and on. We are expecting 89 YOU ASS degrees here today with a cool down later in the week to mid eighties. **bobbio** , don’t it curl your innards when you hear something like that has happened to your child? One of mine is currently up in Virginny at a Homeland Security conference (that’s her job with FDLE). I didn’t expect such venom! The stuff about the hospital is true, except I didn’t know she was dying. I called several times and spoke with her husband to check on her condition, when she had complications from back surgery. She was in the hospital about an hour away, and was surrounded by family. I found out _after she was home_ how sick she really was, and her husband never told me how serious it was. I did apologize for hurting her feelings then, but now it seems like she didn’t really forgive me. This was about 3-1/2 years ago. I want to at least say, “Sorry you feel that way,” but I guess I ended the friendship first, and I should just leave it. I really wish she would have apologized (better) for leaving me hanging this last time, and things wouldn’t be this bad. Damn. Hubby told me that I’m his best friend, and made me get all teary-eyed. Oh well, back to work. ---

Good Lord! So instead of just saying, sorry, I’m bad like that and I promise to be there…and THEN talk about the issues between you, she went off in a huff. And you want to be her friend? Run away! I need to do some laundry. I’m a bit down today, really. Been reflecting on my life and choices and stuff. Not pleasant. I know things are changing, but it seems to take so long. And then there is the spectre of it all changing for the worse–and of course I mindf\*ck that to death. Never mind-I’ll go mutter in a corner and rock for awhile… Regardless, it IS a nice day out there. Perhaps I’ll concentrate on small things. ---

I haven’t been able to get online much, so I’ve missed a lot of stuff in the thread, but I’m still here. Today I go in search of Bacon Salt! I hope they aren’t out again. I want to get some for me and some for my aunt, who looooooves bacon but of course nobody should eat it in the quantities she wants to eat it. ---

**Rebo** - if she’s that type of person, you are better off without her. I’m feeling very guilty right now. I found out the husband of someone I really don’t like very much walked out on her, and I cannot muster up any sympathy for her. All I can think is “well, if you hadn’t had your head up your mother’s ass for the entire four years of your marriage, maybe you would have a husband”. I just can’t find any sympathy for her. She told a mutual friend “I was a basket case last week (he left on Thursday) but now (last night) I’m ready to move on”. Day-um. Must have been some marriage if she can recover in less than a week. I don’t blame him for leaving. My task for the day is to start stripping the louvered doors I’m turning into a jewelry display. Envy me. ---

I’m having a Lipton SoupWorks bowl (chicken & wild rice) for lunch. The instructions are to fill to the fill line with hot water, then microwave on high for 5 minutes. It cautions that the bowl _may_ be hot. I feel that this is insufficient warning. What it _should_ say is: “Bowl may require the use of steel tongs to handle. Do not place within 5 meters of anything that may melt when exposed to molten heat.” It’s a good thing I mistook a small crease halfway down the bowl for the fill line, as it gave me some room to add enough cold water to bring it down below the temperature of plasma. Also, somehow my cell phone’s battery became discharged between the time I got to work and the time I went to use it just now. No idea how it happened – but I think it’s another one of those bugs in the Treo 680. Dumb thing. **Rebo** - Eesh. Drama queen. Frankly, if someone can’t let something go, especially when it’s been explained how the supposedly upsetting event occurred and it turned out to be some miscommunication, then that’s not the sort of friend you want around. Dumb guilt trips are lame. So is trying to shift blame. ---

I love the crawling stage, but it can get tricky. **Noone** –I’d insert a bad joke about how I need more than an ear, but never mind… I’m ok. Just sometimes it’s hard to be patient and then there’s this whole can’t see into the future concept which is so completely effed up of God–I mean, would it kill anyone to know what they’re going to be doing in say, a year? Ok, so maybe it would–but it’d make me sleep better if I knew I was not going to lose the house and kids in the pending divorce (which won’t happen until I’m done with grad school and IF I get up the courage to do it).
