# That Thing in My Toilet tank (colors the water blue)

…waht does it do? Besides coloring the water blue, does it have any other function? Dos it actually kep the bowl clean?  
Inquiring minds want to know!

I think those are chlorine tablets. They are blue so you know they are in there I think? They are very toxic.

I always thought they were blue because that’s the only color that when mixed with yellow or yellowish urine results in a pleasant color (greenish).

They sell clear ones as well. I one moved into a place where the toilet had some serious internal coloration problems from lack of use for a long time. You couldn’t clean it fast enough. The tablets started fixing the problem away but it took weeks to get the full clean effect. I saw that they work just like chlorine works to keep a swimming pool clean.

Do you live on an aeroplane?

It could be Racasan. It’s blue, a detergent and its active ingredient is formaldehyde.
