I got it! I got it! Reading it phonetically I thought “Hey, that’s the tune *Officer Joe Bolton *used to whistle at the beginning of the Little Rascals kids TV program in the mid 1950s”. Did a little research and came up with this: The Whistler and His Dog.

Sorry, no. The tune I described isn’t *The Whistler and His Dog. *But it’s about that tempo, maybe a little faster. Seems to be in 6/8.

As an aside, this thread is a good illustration of why we have location fields. The OP already knew from his Googling that there were many different ice cream truck tunes used throughout the world, and yet he still expected us to know automatically what he meant by the One True Ice-cream Truck Tune. If he had specified that he was in England, then we’d know he meant “the ice cream truck tune used in England”, and might have been able to find the answer much quicker.
