# That's a WRECK in the road ahead, jackass. Why are you passing me???

Yes, I know I just passed you doing 75 MPH.
Yes I know that I’m now hitting the brakes and slowing down less than a mile later.
Do you not SEE the large quantiy of flashing red and blue lights ahead? Are you BLIND to the flares burning in the road? Are the ORANGE CONES invisible to you? Do all the ambulances and fire trucks seem out of place to you?
All of that MUST be true, because even though I’ve slowed down to 45 or so now to avoid slamming into the 12 police cars in the middle of the road, you’ve decided that you don’t want to be behind me anymore, so you pass me at about 80 and then you must have suddnely gotten your eyesight back - because you SLAM on your brakes in the last 100 feet before you very nearly clipped an AMBULANCE and caused another wreck. Your car was literally fishtailing for the last few yards.
Dude - it was 9:00 AM on CHRISTMAS MORNING!! Were you really in THAT much of a rush?
Merry Christmas idiot. I hope you realize that your holiday will at least be a little happier than the family of the dead guy on the side of the road.

I hate people like you… you pretend that you are always the perfect driver, meanwhile you probably cut that guy off and he was pissed…
which forcing him into a rage because of the asshole in front of him and he wasn’t able to see any flashing lights…
Maybe he was in that much of a rush…

Oh, baby, a big “Amen!” on the rant. The afternoon of the 24th I was in the holding pattern on four-lane U.S. 51 to get into the Wal-Mart access road, and up ahead of all of us there was a stalled car in the right-hand lane, and a little ways on there was a two-car fender-bender in the left-hand lane, police all around trying to direct all this last-minute shopper traffic, and the _contortions_ that some people were going through to try to jump ahead of everybody else were just amazing. There was one guy in a bigass 1970s Bonneville on some kind of Misson From God to get into Wal-Mart, and I was like, “What, you’re worried they’ll be all sold out of _stuff_ if you don’t get there RIGHT NOW??”

Well, I don’t know, I mean, if the ambulances, cones, and flares and things were in no real order as to create a lane or two (or three) for traffic, then yeah, I could see the need to slow down.
BUT, if there the cones and flares have been placed so as to clearly mark out a path for the flow of traffic, and you still slow down, seems like a bit of rubber-necking to me…

If someone ‘cutting him off’[ made him THAT upset that he/she/it almost hit the ambulance, I think they need to stay the fuck off the road.

Unless the road was closed, WTF are ya slowing for? Christmas morning was DEAD. I take it since he passed you, you were on some sort of multi-lane highway? Did he pass on the left? Or were you on the passing lane like a fuck tard?
If you weren’t in the left lane and he didn’t cut you off, what are you bitching for?
If you were in the left lane and slowing for an accident…I agree with **merge**.

Because around a wreck there are emergency vehicles and personalle moving around at speeds far below highway speeds who are busy trying to save lives.

That is just to run you over again… now lie down and be quiet…
either way it doesn’t matter… I can’t stand when people think they are the only ones on the road…
TVGuy admits to passing someone at 75… and then says someone flew by him at 80… yeah those extra 5… woohoo…
and then you jump in because he mentions someone almost hitting an ambulace…
All this thread was, was someone who had someone else pass him while he was driving… and got all pissy about it… nothing bad happened…
It is bitching on this board because he likes to see his name next to something… like talking because you like to heard your own voice.

Golly, Merge, so you’re proposing that driving like a jackass because someone pissed you off is a reasonable defense? I’d like to be around when you try explaining that legal theory to a traffic magistrate.
