Lego! The vacuum cleaner in our house was picking it up well into college! Anyone care to join me in a long-lost childhood pastime of making Tolkien characters out of Lego and sending them on expeditions across my flannel nightgown, the one with the purple flowers on it? Dinosaurs and C.S. Lewis characters work well in Lego, too. (Yes, I was a rather geeky child. I suspect some of you were, too. Not that there’s anythign wrong with that, of course.) Afterwards, anyone for gobs of homemade Toll House cookie dough? I can’t believe nodody’s broken out the dough yet! ---

I haven’t been in this thread as much as I’d have liked to have been, but I have been reading it, as well as your own, **Deadly Nightlight**. I don’t mean to hijack this thread, but I’ve never understood how a person can treat anyone like your ex treated you. It’s easy to tell someone else to not let life get them down, but I don’t know how else to phrase it. Just remember (to paraphrase a saying that’s been beaten to death for the last year and a half) if you let the assholes ruin your life, then the assholes have won. Counseling can be good, especially if you don’t have anyone local you can talk to, but don’t forget that there’s people out here who care what happens to you. ---

Deadly Nightlight, good for you. I am all for counseling, and hopefully you’ll still be here so we can give you warm fuzzies during your low moments. Hang in there, take a deep breath, and get through the next moment. That’s all anyone expects of you right now. My first husband and I divorced when my older two kids were 4 months old and 4 years old, because he fell in luuuuv with my Best Friend. It was a mess, and I thought I would die at some points. Counseling saved me. Flash forward to second husband, who has been a mean SOB for about 10 years. Finally I got the backbone to walk away, and things are looking up. You’re strong. Shoot, _yeah_, **Tapioca Dextrin**! Got some Vienna Beef dogs for those that want 'em, and for our vegetarian friends, meatless bratwurst (these things _rock_!) Looks like there might be a few clouds tonight, but nothing huge. Anybody else up for sleeping under the stars tonight, maybe swap some tales until the fire goes low? (Okay, I brought marshmallows…but does anyone want to join me in making s’mores? It feels like that kind of night.)
