Wow, seems like I missed quite a bit when I went to work on Friday. For those who have to go for a bit be safe and stay well. Deadly, I’m serious if you need to talk I am a darn good listener. And nothing goes any further than me. I think the only other doper I have on my yahoo list is bodypoet. Alright, I’m going to sit and watch the rest of Buffy and then snooze off and on. The heathens are on spring break, and my husband woke them about a half hour ago. I guess he doesn’t think that I need any sleep. I have been up since 10am yesterday and worked all night. I guess I should get off that subject before our nice thread ends up in the pit. ---

This place has the _greatest_ dinners… Another cold snap on the way in for the next couple of days, so I’m making chili again tonight. It’ll help us keep those spring colds at bay. And since the macaroni seemed to go over so well, I think I’ll make a little more of that, since I miss her and it’s her recipe… It’s good to see you all here, still keepin’ it goin’! ---

Mmmm, chili! And I got hungry for potatoes and onions, so I whipped up a batch of those too. Darn this cold weather again, too! I was really getting used to a nice warm paper route…but as long as I’m not wading through snow, I won’t complain too much, I suppose. I got a new chalkboard and a bunch of colored chalk to play with, if anyone wants to draw! ---

Chili’s done, and, taking a cue from **bodypoet** and the weather, I do believe I’ll whip on some potato soup, and some clam chowder, a little something to let us hold on until the heat returns tomorrow. **LurkMeister** and **bodypoet** , what would you like for your bowls of chili? _ **Todd begins setting up bowls and plates full of various good things - diced onions, tortillas, cooked spaghetti, sharp cheddar, jalapenos for those that want them** _ Anyone else? ---

Onions and cheddar on the chili, please. I’ve heard of people having it with spaghetti, but never tried it myself (although I do like chili mac, which I suppose is similar). I like cornbread with chili when I can get it; I once had chili in a restaurant served in a cornbread bowl (they also served beef stew in a sourdough bowl). Clam chowder…as long as it’s the real thing, without the tomatoes. ---

Let’s see…in my chili, I want a little extra tomato and onion, and that should do it. And a nice stack of crackers, and a side of peanut butter sandwich. With a glass of milk…aaaah, perfection. Thank you, Todd! Perfect timing! Lynne, good here…kind of quiet in the comfort zone right now, but that’s because everyone is either sleeping or out planting flowers, I think. I’m considering a new hosta bed, myself, since there’s plenty of shade here. Whew! I think it might be time for a housecleaning party soon… ---

**todd** , things are ok over here with me, although I’m totally stressed over school, moving out, prom, and my boyfriend. Oh, to not be a teenager:rolleyes: More importantly, my mom is in surgery today, and I’m worried aboot her, cause I know thats no fun, and she’s going to be stuck around the house for weeks, which is just not her style. mmmmm chili! Hrm. What more can I bring to the party? Aha! Hot cocoa with either honey or vanilla. Or both, I suppose- I’ve never been that decadent. And peanut butter sammiches cut into small triangles. When I was a kid, my mom would ask me every day what I wanted for lunch. She knew I’d always say peanut butter, but she’d always ask. 🙂 ---
