# That's one tough mother...

I originally saw this in the Sun-Times this morning. Words fail me. How is this possible? How could she possibly survive an _eight hour ride_ to the hospital after performing a C-section on herself? How complicated is a C-section? Is it really just possible to figure it out on the spot? How sharp was that knife? How did she not get a deadly infection in the mean time or die of severe bloodloss? I mean…somebody please explain the mechanics of this to me.

Wow. She’s certainly made my short list for Mom of the Year.

Damn. I did a search on “Mexican” and “C-section” with no results. Should have guessed…
