# "That's what SHE said!" -- OK, but since when?

Another example from the 1979-1980 time frame: the Utopia album _Adventures in Utopia_ has a song “Shot In The Dark” with the line  
“Is that all there is to that? (That’s what _she_ said.)”

There’s a line in Shakespeare’s _Twelfth Night_ that sounds like an “as the actress said to the bishop” joke whose meaning has been lost to time:

> Bonos dies, Sir Toby: for, as the old hermit of  
> Prague, that never saw pen and ink, very wittily  
> said to a niece of King Gorboduc, “That that is is”…
