To the first question, she didn’t have time. (And that wasn’t JLC.)

To the second, yes. He stole Dr. Loomis’s car.

Resurrecting! (he he). I’ve been watching the “first time watching” reaction videos on YouTube to 1978 Halloween. I don’t see why these younger people don’t get simple stuff like the Judith Myers headstone. “Why did he take his mother’s headstone?” IT’S HIS SISTER’S! The one he killed in '63, at the beginning. WTF.

Or, “He must be an immortal.” Yes, sort of. As Donald Pleasance says, “It’s pure evil.” And also wondering why the doctor/detective gets first credit at the end. It’s Donald Pleasance! Been around, I think. Duh. “Fantastic Voyage”? Why can’t they read Wiki after watching?

It is a damn perfect film as to initiate the slasher thrillers that all come after it. And the reactors still get that wrong. “It’s kind of like Stranger Things…” No. Stranger Things is kind of like Halloween! GAH!

I was 7 when that was released. My sisters saw it in theater and were scared to death like the rest of the audience. Couple years later after is was released on cable, I saw it at home. I checked my closet EVERY NIGHT for years, with all lights on and my door locked, just to make sure the voiceless freak wasn’t in my room.

“Was it the Boogeyman?” “As a matter of fact, it was.” And then the breathing in the house, then outdoors, then fade to title…

(shudders)
