Can you rephrase the question? Do you mean:

a) Were there any MLB players who didn’t strike? The answer is no.

b) What was the total number of players affected by the strike? That would be the total of all players signed to MLB contracts.

or
c) How many players who participated in one strike also participated in the other?

I’m looking for “c”.

I don’t have time to do the intensive labor, but just check these two lists:

> **[1981 Major League Baseball Standard Batting | Baseball-Reference.com](https://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/majors/1981-standard-batting.shtml)**
>
> Check out the standard batting stats for all the Major League Baseball teams and players on Baseball-Reference.com

> **[1981 Major League Baseball Standard Pitching | Baseball-Reference.com](https://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/majors/1981-standard-pitching.shtml)**
>
> Check out the standard pitching stats for all the Major League Baseball teams and players on Baseball-Reference.com

For any players that also appear on these two lists:

> **[1994 Major League Baseball Standard Batting | Baseball-Reference.com](https://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/majors/1994-standard-batting.shtml)**
>
> Check out the standard batting stats for all the Major League Baseball teams and players on Baseball-Reference.com

Good luck.

Those aren’t the only two baseball strikes. The one in 1972 also cut into the regular season.

Strikes in other years, while sometimes affecting the regular season, still allowed for a full 162 game schedule to be played.
