Last night I got home to find a postcard from Upstate NY. It’s a lovely photo showing a tree with mushrooms (chicken of the woods, I think) growing up the trunk. I wish you luck in your attempts to find caterpillars. “Not for potions.” 😉 ---

It’s been in print for over a century, is superbly illustrated and still funny to this day, if you ever happen to get your hands on a copy. You know folks, I may be aging, and likely slow on the uptake but I’m thunking something devious has been going on in the background of this PCE. 🙃 Arrived home today and the post has delivered another three postcards. @Ulf_the_Unwashed showboating about their fitness regime walking across the Hudson, @romansperson who has been exceptionally active in this exchange and provided images of ye olde Hillsborough, NC and @RealityChuck doing some solid promotional work on a gothic novel which marks them out as a poster who could be very handy to know in very specific situations. The generousity is exemplary. Thank you all! ---
