Why all the animosity toward Diogenes? He’s simply saying that the family was greedy. They were. And selfish. They were. And he’d be happy for his own daughter to receive a windfall and spend it however she wished. So would I. ---

This is a discussion about soi-disant reality shows. Back to that, and stop beating each other about the head with a dead fish. - The question of whether these appalling reality shows are “entertainment” or simply filmed sadism, that would be fine for discussion. Me personally, I think we should find a couple strong athletes, arm half of them with swords and shields and the other half with tridents and nets, and let them kill each other on TV. Winners get big bucks, losers get a nice funeral. ---
