There are “7 classic product designs”. What are these classics? Definitely in the list is the Coca-Cola bottle, the Zippo lighter and Levi Jeans. But what are the others? Is a chair in there? a car? Is Starck’s lemon squeezer one of these 7 design classics? Hmm. ---

Thanks re: BTW, where did you hear of "7 classic … This has been around ad. agencies and design studios in the UK for years. Some have guessed the Ducatti, the Macintosh chair … trouble is, can’t yet find any-one who has the real story. No, it’s not myth. compliments from MA ---

Also the Barcalounger and the McDonalds french-fry container. Maybe it’s a good place to start? ---

**manhattan** , I totally agree and I’m lookin’ for the actual (alleged) list now with bated breath. **yohimboguy** , did you check my cite or was that off the top of your noggin? Quote from the cite above: “Zippers and paper clips, Band-Aids and Post-It Notes and four-button suits. Breadmakers, Cuisinarts, Empire State Buildings, Sydney Opera Houses, interstate highways and Mazda Miatas. The Tide box, the CBS logo, the Volkswagen Beetle – classic and redesigned.” …only thing missing was the (dreaded) cheese hat (go Falcons!). ---
