Not unless there is a little-known codicil in the Straight Dope constitution which gives Skald the Rhymer unlimited power to preserve order in time of forum emergency. 😃

Thanks for the link, but I’m not sure I want to watch Chuck’s intervention. As I understand it he’s clean now, and has been clean for a decade or so. That’s some good news at least.

Since the 70s were very nostalgic about the 30s, could you please bring those back too?

It’ll be especially apropos now that the economy is coming apart like a cardboard suitcase.
