No holiday here, I am young and energetic remember. Also my coworkers are always entertained by my extr addledness the next day. I had forgotten that Jackman has a huge musical pedigree. But ffs, High School Musical people get off the damned stage. It was bad enough when you were on the red carpet with the interviewers saying “I am sure we will see you here as nominees in a few years”. ---

I’m a few minutes behind you guys here, so: Biels looked about as good as any modern woman would in a vintage Animal House toga, and Janusz Kaminski did a good job as a stoner. For that matter the more I see Seth Rogen, the more he reminds me of a former coworker. It’s getting eerie. ---

I didn’t care for the High School Musical people, but I love that this whole show is like one big love letter to Broadway. Yay for Hugh Jackman! ---

I actually like all of the Best Song nominees this year (that’s a first) and am seriously ticked that they have time for this stuff but not for performances of the actual nominated songs. Why, people, why? ---

I’m kind of nostalgic for the Kodak commercials that used to run during this event. They used to say something like virtually all of these movies were shot on our filmstock, so why not use our still film in your camera? But this is the digital age. Instead, in this crappy economy, we get multiple ads from JC Penney. ---
