I knew the Jets would put up a feeble resistance to the Steelers in Heinz Field. What a joke of an AFC Champ game. All bluster, no substance. Fuck Rex Ryan. Meeting the Packers on a non-frozen field should be interesting. ---

Holy crap. Why do the Steelers have to continually do this to me? Should have been over MUCH earlier. Still…I’ll take another trip to the Super Bowl. How many headlines will try and work Stairway to Seven in somewhere? ---

Dominating performance. I loved the offense going for the conversion to win it instead of a safe run and punt. Aggressive call, and way to win the game with the offense instead of relying completely on the defense. I thought Legursky did well enough, but without Pouncey, it’s going to be a hell of a lot harder. ---

It was easy to stop them in three in the first half, and the second half wasn’t much different. It was the fourth down that killed us. On the other side of the ball, we started running…and the Jets _knew_ that. They stacked the line and we ran it anyway. So we just marched backwards until we had to punt. When you look back on it, it wasn’t that close of a game. 5 points is a lot to win by. Even if we failed to get the first down on that last play, we would have burned 40 seconds off the clock and punted. The Jets would then have to drive 80+ yards to the endzone with only 1:20 left. Sure, it’s close enough to make you nervous, but it could have been a lot closer. The game was supposed to be 65/35, and I’d say that’s about what it turned out to be. ---

Woo Hoo! the Jet’s showed up for the second half but the Steelers did it! I have to say though, the Packers looked great today. The Steelers have their work cut out for them. ---

I agree, especially since a lot of the Jets’ success came from being fortunate to call a play that matched well for the coverage we called. For instance, Harrison bounces wide to blitz, when the Jets happen to have a run called for just inside the spot he vacated. Or the Steelers roll Polamalu and Clark up, and Taylor happens to slip and allow Holmes to run free. Of course, the Jets took advantage when the could, but they just couldn’t move the ball fast enough when we were stout. ---
