I don’t like to engage in rumor or speculation, but does anyone else think maybe **swampy** ’s crisis came about because he found out he’s gay?? :eek: Yeah, I know, old joke, easy joke. Yet I couldn’t help myself… 😃 ---

We both were in bed before 9 last night - him drugged on pain killers, me drugged on Mel. I woke once to answer nature’s call - he said he got up about 2 to take another pain killer. We both really needed some good sleep. \*\*FCD \*\*drove himself to work today. His bandages are off and all he’s got now are bandaids on the 2 small incisions. Scopic surgery is amazing!! He’ll see the Dr on Monday - with luck, that’ll be the end of it. Meanwhile, it’s freekin’ cold here - 40°, which is freekin’ cold for this time of April. I’ve got some laundry to do, and it’s going in the dryer. I’m not subjecting my hands to wet in this cold. At some point today, I need to go get some more bandaids - we’re down to not very many, mostly in sizes we don’t use. So there are my big plans for the day. Today is the b-day of my bestest Navy friend. She and I met in Memphis in '73 when going thru training, and we were stationed in the same squadron together. From San Diego, our paths split, hers taking her to Kuwait (as a civilian before all the nasty stuff started out there) and mine taking me to college and ultimately to Jax where I met my sweetie. She’s been a contractor in DC for a lot of years, so we’re living really close together. And in the last 11 years, we’ve seen each other maybe a half a dozen times. Funny how we were so close, and now we mostly exchange the occasional email… such is life. Anyway, she’s 61 today, and honestly, she looks very much like she did 40 years ago, except for a wee bit of gray. Not that any of you care, since you don’t know her. Happy Firday!!! ---

Happy Firday! It’s cold, I got a blast of cold air when I let the dog out. Now he is standing here waiting for _more treats_. He has had 3 treats already, and I break them into 4ths which means he has had 12 treats already and he thinks he deserves more. He has me trained so well. Today is mow the lawn day. We are not the shaggiest lawn on the block but it’s getting there. At least it won’t be hot out. He cut my mother’s lawn while we were there and cleaned all the leaves out of the ditch. The storm drain is in front of my mother’s house and when it gets backed up it makes a mess. I should do laundry today as well but I think it can wait one more day. It’s also pay the bills day. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, and well, caffeinated already so no _YAWN_. ‘Tis 60 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 82 for the day. I should do some yahd irk cause tomorrow is supposed to be rain/tstorm/apocalypse time. Oh, and I am takin’ a leave of absence from irk for a while.
