**Sari** you will be more comfortable at home imo and you have your son to help you. You could always go somewhere else if you need more help. There is no place like home especially when you don’t feel good. ---

I meant to get on here bright and early today, working from home and all. First irk call at 8:30. Humph! irk is interferin’ with my personal life folks! The dogs are happy though. Someone to keep them company while they nap. 😛 Girl child is teaching class on how to draw manga today. She is excited about that. Not so much about the Fun Run at schhol. She tried to pretend it wasn’t happening. Too bad. I sent her off with all the required clothes. I’m mean. 😃 Filed a motion against the School District today on behalf of my son. After almost 2 years of screwing around we’re giving them 10 days to provide him an equal education as required by law. I hate all this. But I hate it even more that he’s sooooo miserable and he’s not getting an equal education. And on the white trash front, which I’m sure I’m not supposed say, but they are, so deal, they are still living in a trailer on my street. Police came by one and marked their tire. WT promptly came out and erased. Does anyone actually think that works (the mark). Back to irk. Happy Firday! ---

Hittin’ the road to go for a weekend road trip with one of my closest friends to one of my favorite cities. 🙂 We timed it nicely so we’re outta the meteoplex way before rush hour but should be reaching our destination after local rush, overpacked but who cares we have everything we need, and Tom Petty just came on the radio. _peace out_ ---

My phone rang a couple hours ago and I saw it was my dad calling. Because I call several times a week, any call from my parents is _odd and reason for concern._ So I was relieved to hear him say “The internet hasn’t worked since Tuesday. If you are considering a visit we would appreciate it.” I am happy to drive down tonight or tomorrow to deal with it (they use a Verizon hot spot out in the boondocks). Much happier with this problem than any of the alternatives. Besides I can use his workshop to work on the boat and my vehicle… ---

Definitely a good thing that we opted out of the baseball game today - we’re both freezing even tho it’s middle 60s in the house. We’d be dying outside! We were going to attend a classic car show on Sunday in Leonardtown, but from the looks of the weather, they’ll need the rain date. Oh well… ---

Speaking of phone calls, I’ve had a recruiter annoying the Hell out of me. :mad: He has contacted me over a dozen times in the past couple of weeks, by both phone & email about a position in Troy, MI. It’s rare to get more than one call/email if you don’t reply to them. I have not taken any of his calls or done anything but delete the emails. He called again while I was on my way home (I recognize the # at this point) \*\*Me: \*\*{Answering the phone, no ‘Hello’, just} Did you even look at my resume? \*\*Him: \*\*Yes \*\*Me: \*\*Then you realize that Troy, MI is not really a commutable distance, right? \*\*Him: \*\*Uhhhhh \*\*Me: \*\*If I hear from you again the police will be charging you with harassment. \ I didn’t even need one of **Bobbio** ’s pens. 😉 ---

Howdy Y’all! I did some yahd irk today. My yahd is no longer the trashiest one in the ‘hood. YAY! I also met with a therapist I believe I shall like. He’s a year older than me and a hoot. It felt a lot like peer counselin’ which is ok by me. We went out to the not too shabby Chinese [del]hog trough[/del] buffet for dindin. All in all, life is a little better today. Again, thanks y’all for all the hugs and well wishes and hard times. All of it reminds me that life is good. 😃 ---

I cooked “Yucca with garlic sauce”, boiled yucca root then lightly fried with olive oil, garlic and onions. There was a sirloin on Manager’s Special, and I planned fajitas. Mrs. Plant isn’t feeling well, and ate yucca with beef strips, but she did like the thinly sliced sirloin. Usually she does not. Yesterday there was a problem switching a TV back to cable after someone had used a DVD player with it. I was there for another problem, and offered to fix it for Gladys. She replied that the guy who now runs the IT shop told her how to do it. I asked her if she was comfortable doing that, and she was. So, I had to go across campus in the rain this morning, take the remote and press INPUT and TV. How do these people make toast? How do they live? ---

OK, I’m losing my mind. I just went outside looking for Higgs, walking around the yard in my robe, calling her. She was in the house. Honest-to-goodness, I don’t remember letting her in. :smack: So now she’s running around like a nutcase, rasslin’ with Taz. Had she done that 5 minutes ago, I wouldn’t have been outside yelling. We had a pretty good night, in fact, \*\*FCD \*\*is still having his. I woke a couple of times, but fell back to sleep easily. That’s 2 nights in a row of rest - YAY!! It’s supposed to be in the 50s today. I’m going to have some studio time. I owe my sister several pieces of pottery and the kiln is nearly full. The stuff I have to make for her should complete the load. So that’s that plan for the day. After we have breakfast. And after I trim my fingernails. Can’t work on the wheel with claws! :eek: I like the term “imaginary internet friends” because I figure most of you are just too weird to be real… even tho I’ve met several of you. Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 66 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 84 for the day and rain. The tstorm/apocalypse forecast has apparently gone away but it looks rainy out so I expect it shall be soon. Today’s plans include the puttin’ together of a new grill which has been settin’ in the garage for three weeks. Then, we shall christen said grill this evenin’ by charrin’ various meats. Steak for tonight, poke chops for tomorrow, and, just cause the grill is goin’, chikin for Moanday night dindin. Plus also, I shall fry chikin livers for N.O.L. since I had promised OYKW chikin livers before I went into crisis mode last week. **BigKitty** ouch! Hope the arm is not too hurty or bruised. **sunny** yay for a trip to Lost Wages even if’n it’s only for bidness! **shoe** have fun! **gigity** glad there’s no serious parental issue other than wonky intartoobz. **sari** I’m with the recuperate at home crowd. There really is no place like home when one is sick or recuperatin’. After this past week, da cave is the best place on earth as far as I’m concerned. Ok, that’s all I got for now.
