It isnā€™t showing up for for me. Iā€™m using netscape. All I see is ā€œadvertisement:ā€ and then a big blank space where it used to be. ---

No ad here either. I see the same thing porcupine described. (Netscape 4.6.1.) ---

Of course, if people take care to notice whether the ad is there or not, then itā€™s pretty effective advertising, I suppose. But I see no ad now (I.E.5) although yesterday I somehow ended up with the cinema listings for Chicago, plus links to Chicago Reader things, including Straight Dope. I suppose I must have clicked on that review ad by accident, although I could have sworn I was trying to click on a thread title. I hadnā€™t even known that the Chicago Reader as such HAD a site for me to get lost in.šŸ™‚ ---

Iā€™ve seen ads intermittently as well, interspersed with tags that say ā€œadvertisement.ā€ Iā€™ll notify the Ad department at the Reader. Might also be a browser issue, especially as it seems to be an issue in Netscape; weā€™ve had problems with vB and Netscape in the past. your humble TubaDiva Administrator ---

FWI- The same thing is happening with IE 5.5. I donā€™t even have Netscape loaded and itā€™s been happening off and on for about a day now. ---
