But unless you’re talking about painting them a different colour, there might not be much that can be done to change their appearance, without compromising efficiency.

Heh, I think you’re right. They could hardly be more ascetic - they’re pretty spare as it is. But why not stripes and poka dots? That could be fun.

I think solitary ones look quite pretty but the sheer amount of them in parts of Northern Ireland ruins once beautiful landscapes imho. I’m not against wind turbines but I do get a twinge of NIMBYism (for want of a better term) when I see them in rural areas in abundance.

I agree. I’d like to see those big farms that run down a ridge colored like a rainbow. I think that would look very cool. (like the northern most tower/turbine = Red, then they go to orange, then yellow, … until the southern most is purple.)

I find the modern style rather cool as they are (+3 aesthetic), but this would make them at least 20% cooler.

I have fond memories of coming over Altamont Pass as a kid and knowing it meant we were close to my grandparents house. Even now I enjoy looking at them driving through central Ca.
