I don’t know that I’d call Sharpton obscure, at least in the U.S. I’ve been aware of him since [1988](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tawana_Brawley_rape_allegations), and he’s pulled off any number of bullshit stunts since then. He’s done his best in recent years to change his style and tone down his viciousness, but he has never publically acknowledged his mistakes nor has he apologized for them. He disgusts me. Arguing that he represents the face of fascism in the U.S., is, of course, bullshit. ---

I went to Tilden High School with Al Sharpton. Even as a youngster he was an “activist”- he staged walk outs and protested the school lunch. I kid you not. ---
