As I recall, the judge had to give Ms. Habba a refresher course on how to introduce evidence. How would a social media post of Ms. Habba at a party get into evidence in the court in New York? I wouldn’t be surprised if the answer she gave the judge was that it didn’t happen, it’s all an AI deepfake. ---

Are there any consequences normally for an attorney who blatantly and obviously lies to a judge in court in order to delay a trial? Does this sort of thing happen with any frequency? At all? I imagine at minimum she’s going to have to explain herself at a hearing of the New York Bar. ---

OK, help me out, here. I thought it was a juror who was feeling ill and that was why the trial was delayed. That Alina Habba said that she had been exposed to Covid, and used that to agree that a delay was in order. The judge told Team Trump that they could continue with one juror short, but Habba used Covid merely as a reason to take the judge up on his offer. Of course, if she had been exposed to Covid and though she might be contagious, why was she attending a crowded party a few hours later?
