I have to say that when they hit the check in Berlin I wasn’t really comfortable watching it. But at the same time that shove was something that defined J&V’s relationship fairly clearly. Maybe the TAR producers didn’t want to have to deal with the outcry again or maybe they didn’t want to raise questions of why they didn’t do anything about it there. ---

I said that about Rebecca in a previous episode thread. Adam may be unstable and whiney and immature, but Rebecca is a BITCH! With a capital BITCH. Especially if those rumors about her getting back together with Adam solely because it would help her get on this show are true. ---

He must have been preparing for some sort of followup to his 2000 World Record, when he became the first person to fly solo over the North Pole…in an [_open-cockpit plane_](http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1355/is_23_97/ai_62298408)!!! GO GUS! (on further viewing, I see I could have noticed that in his TAR6 bio, but I guess I hadn’t read it yet.) I love this team now. **Don/Mary Jean** : Can I just say I loved seeing Mary Jean’s “7 inches” comment again? **Kristy/Lena** : OK, so now we know WHO called Phil a “Choo-Choo Charlie”. Now WTF does THAT mean?!? **Hayden/Aaron** : I would say these two are showing a lot of signs of the strain of the race, and that the only reason it’s bugging so many people is that it’s one more drop of unpleasantness in the ocean of truly awful people this season. **Lori/Bolo** :Sure, they’re funny sometimes, but they’re also pathetic. I don’t find myself caring if they get eliminated. And don’t you think we’re being hypocritical when we complain continually about bunching and then demand that a team that is too far behind get some sort of “boost”? **Meredith/Maria** : Cutie cannon fodder. 'Nuff said. **Freddy/Kendra** : Up until the last couple of weeks, it appears they’ve been the “stealth assholes” all along. I am grateful for the bunching at the internet cafe that erases their long lead. **Avi/Joe** : In hindsight, I don’t think Avi’s line about not trusting Gus had to do with suspicions of treachery, but rather an underestimation of the skills of Naked Gus, which has proven so fatal to the efforts of NG’s foes in the past… **Adam/Rebecca** : These folks place a comfortable #2 (in between \*/Victimia and Freddy/Kendra) in the list of people who should pray that the prize at the end is a million hours of couples therapy. \ ***/Victimia** : Why do I suspect that they didn’t re-broadcast the shove due to a pending character assassination lawsuit from \*? ---

I love this team now. I dunno about that. It’s a fairly standard technique for reality shows to downplay some of the teams that make it far. Plus, the extra footage of them was fairly non-race specific material. ---

That was just sublime, showing Kendra bitching about how nasty Dakar was and then cutting immediately to Kris and Jon in the water playing with the local kids. They’re a great couple, especially Kris, and I’m growing to really like them. I’d like to think Kendra felt ashamed when she watched that, but I don’t have enough faith in people to believe it. ---

Y’know all those Adam=Cartman jokes we were doing a few episodes back? Sorry folks but we were wrong. _KENDRA_=Cartman. To wit: (Episode 406-Cartman Joins NAMBLA) Kenny’s Mom: Kenny, yore daddy an’ Ah are thinkin’ ‘bout havin’ anuther baby. Wouldn’tcha luv ta have another brother or sister? Kenny: No! Kenny’s Dad: We jes’ might get workin’ on it later t’day. Heh-heh-heh Cartman: Gawddammit poor people suck. Your family is already on welfare and now you’re gonna bring another kid into the world. Poor people are turning out babies, adding to the overpopulation and expecting _me_ to pay for it with _my_ tax dollars. Which, if you substituted the word “breeding” for the phrase “bring another child into the world” it would sound exactly like Kendra’s “They just keep breeding and breeding” speech. Um…which means that, given Kendra’s use of the word “breeding”, Kendra’s speech was _worse_ than Cartman’s. Kendra, dood. If your real-life behavior is more outrageous than _Cartman’s_, it’s time to reassess your life choices ---

Is it just me, or did this ep give us more _personality_ from Kris and Jon than the previous six shows? Fer crying out loud, this is the first time that I’ve actually gotten their names straight and figured out that Kris is the woman in that team (instead of thinking she’s named Jen…) And that explosion with the gas tank?
