CBS hasn’t gone out of their way to draw much attention to this, like telling anybody, or anything; but there’s a new season of _The Amazing Race_ starting this Sunday. **FlightlessBird** started a [thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=503656) when the teams were announced, but it must have dropped off the first page before I even noticed it. I’m glad you started this thread, because I would have completely missed the season premiere. We rarely watch TV “live” and rarely see promos or commercials, so I wouldn’t have known it was back on otherwise. This is one of our favorite shows at our house! Anyhow… a little bump, in case this thread lets someone else set their DVR too! ---

Just checked out the bios. Looks like they are again not including an alpha male team. The two male teams they have look pretty non-threatening. ---

I don’t know – the team made up of two stuntmen looks pretty good to me. They could be the team to beat, especially if they make it to the last leg. It looks like there are two obligatory teams of good-looking women – the former NFL cheerleaders and the flight attendants, and a few “We’re here to test our relationship” teams. Any early bets on who’ll be the first to go? ---

Spoilers because of West coasters: The thing about the cheese task that some people might not realize is that it’s not only heavy with bad tools on an ugly slope. It’s high altitude. Listen to those people gasp for air as they move the cheeses. ---
