She even said before all that something like, “I guess they eat baguettes for lunch.”

She wasn’t trying to hinder the other team, at least it didn’t look like an intentional thing. She played it off like a joke, but maybe she’s more evil than she lets on.

Either way, I don’t think what she did would be ‘hinderance’ in a rule-breaking sort of way. Even if she was intentionally trying to screw the other team, it was more of a mind-game false info sort of thing. I think hinderance would be physically preventing a team from progressing, which she didn’t do. Tricking another team or lying to another team I think is OK for the race.

I could be wrong, but I thought I heard her say ‘it’s a joke’ or something like that on her way out–but Erin/Joslyn didn’t hear her.

Which is not a thing I ever thought anyone would say about Blair.

Teams can get penalized even if the rule infraction is unintentional. Teams misread clues all the time and, for example, take a taxi to the Pit Stop rather than going on foot as required by the clue. The penalty is applied even though it was an honest mistake. I guess verbally misleading a team, intentional or not, is OK. Physically hiding the equipment needed to complete a task is not OK, though.

She didn’t say “it’s a joke”, she said to her father “Should I tell them I’m joking?”

Best moment of the episode was when a few team members were trying to figure out who was approaching in a parachute:

“Is that Blair?”

“I don’t think it’s Blair, because we’d be able to hear her.”

“DAAADDIEEEEE!!!”

Yes, the stunt men/brothers who hid the bicycle pumps from other racers got a 30 minute penalty IIRC.

But I don’t think you can penalize teams for verbally misleading other teams. Trusting the wrong people is all part of the race.

Heck, when Rob and Amber were on the Race, didn’t Rob bribe a bus driver to only open the front door of the bus that a bunch of teams were on, so the people at the back of the bus had to walk all the way to the front? He didn’t get penalized for that.

I’m a little surprised that this wasn’t a non-elimination leg. Pretty much all the challenges were “go in the order you got there,” unless you went to build a tent. The parasailing was 50/50 between not falling and hoping the guide went at the right time for the wind. And the actual challenge of “spot the brown yeti” was nothing.

Oh c’mon. This episode was the one where the two attractive ladies got eliminated. Totally different from last episode, which is the one where the two attractive ladies were eliminated.

(This has got to be the whitest cast ever, right? Two blacks guys, and Zach is half-white/half-asian. I think everyone else is white)

Apparently Armenian sculpture is quite substantial. As is Armenian architecture. And Armenian nanas.

I was kind of hoping one of the Roadblocks was “Go back in time and eliminate the Kardashians’ great-grandfather”, but we can’t have everything.

That lavash bore a striking resemblance to naan. Made me hungry…

I sympathize with Sheri. I did the same thing once when I was trying to get the hubcap off a flat tire. My brain just went to sleep about the right-tighty, lefty-loosey thing.

The continuation of the leg was unexpected. I was wondering how the Boys “won” the Express Pass if the leg wasn’t over yet…

First time the race has gone to Armenia, I think.

Is it just ingrained in these racers to ignore the janitor? Sheesh, so embarrassing.

I think it was the first time in Armenia and it was absolutely stunning. My to do travel list got longer again.

Poor Sherry, but she got a lot of help along the way - they’d be much further behind if it wasn’t for the other teams helping her. I also liked the strategy of the team waiting for a spot helping the team in front of them to get their space.

I also think it might have been strategic though on “Father”'s part. The gay guy team had been one or two over and over, maybe by helping the mother/son team he could have kept a weaker team in and a stronger team out. Didn’t work, obviously, but it would be a sensible way to play.

Georgia! Another first for the race. I hope we see a lot more of Eastern Europe in future races. It’s really pretty and a part of the world rarely seen in these kinds of shows.

That dance was just insane. Some racers rose to the challenge. Sheri, for example, was surprisingly limber. Blair’s daddy, on the other hand, not so much. Why would she make an old man do such an acrobatic task?

My husband thinks Blair is overall lacking in confidence. She’s not sure about doing _anything_ so it’s “Daddy take over!” time.

Yeah, that would have bit them in the butt eventually, but since they’re out…

I think Cole/Sheri as showing a bit of that, too.

Actually, why Sheri? I think this is the third roadblock in a row that she’s done. Can Cole do anything himself?
I’m very glad not to have to hear Blair screech anymore.

It also seemed like a bad decision to have Daddy run the backpack back in to the building after they figured out that he had grabbed the wrong one. It was basically a race to the pit stop once he handed it over, and I have to assume she could have made it back to the cab faster than he did.

Although I have to say, I was surprised that he got through the dance task as quickly as he did. I thought they’d be there long after everyone else had left.

Taking another racer’s backpack is an absolute no-no. They’d have gotten penalized, probably longer than the time it took to return the backpack.
