There was some task in Africa where someone forgot to grab a stick or something but I can’t remember what team or season or if that was a Detour or just some random task. They didn’t incur a penalty but had to go back and grab the stick.
Wasn’t that Uchenna and Joyce that forgot the stick? They had to pull it from the ground but they didn’t and had to go back and pull it out. If it wasn’t them, I’m pretty sure it was the same season.

Found it on the site linked way back up there, at least the task. [Season 7](http://homepage.mac.com/yakc/tv/tar7.html) scroll down to leg 7. Remove post, move logs.
When C&M and D&O reached Zanzibar and opened their clues, I could have sworn I saw a green FF clue, but it was never mentioned. My eyes could have been playing tricks on me, though, because I expected a FF after last week’s NEL. Did anyone else see it or was it my imagination? I deleted it from TiVo before I remembered to take another look.
I thought I saw it too.
Was it an editing trick or was Myrna really just kicking back on the dhow, waving her little Amazing Race flag while Charla got sick over the side? Between the Tim Gunn quote, the stopping for fruit and various other actions, I love Danny and Oswald.
I think she asked Charla if she was alright.
They didn’t. They laughed at C&Ms shirts, which said “Too Hot To Handle” (or "2 Hot 2 Handle, I forget). You can interpret that any number of ways (including the way **amarinth** did), but it’s not fair to put words in their mouths.
Oh please. Think with the other brain. They were being witchy, period. It’s not the first time nor will it be the last.

lol… I’ll decide which brain I use dammit!

I’m not arguing what they meant. I just pointed out that they didn’t say anything resembling “Do they really think they’re pretty?” They were talking about how they haven’t had a first place finish yet and said:

“We’re going to have to keep up with Too Hot To Handle though. It’s a little hard to keep up with Too Hot To Handle.” (laughter)

You can certainly argue that they were commenting on C&M’s appearance, but it’s not just-plain-obvious-period to me.

I definitely got the words wrong.

But I do think that was the sentiment. That comment feels different to me than the comments about their behavior.
I’m pretty sure that any team that was directed to go directly to the Pit Stop without completing all the tasks, found out when they got to the Pit Stop that they were the last team to arrive, and had been eliminated from the Race.
Oh. My. God.

This has to be the most moronic thing I have ever posted on a public board.

Seriously—what was I thinking???

If you don’t see me around for a while, I’m taking some time off to recover from the shame. On the other hand, maybe I should start posting a lot so that this episode slips further back in my “see all posts” index.

In my defense, I’m sick with a cold and the oxygen isn’t getting to my brain. But still.

Team Hornio was Momma’s Boy and The Bitch ([Adam and Rebecca](http://www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race6/teams/adam/bio.shtml)).
And the “Team Hornio” nickname comes from TWoP, inspired by Adam’s habit of wearing two little tufts of hair on the front of his head pulled up into little hair horns. Off-topic, I loved Rebecca. I loved how she checked out of the relationship about four episodes in and said flat out in more than one interview that she was pulling girlfriend duty in service of winning the million dollars and nothing else. Sheer unadulterated mercenary beauty.

</div>

And the details were that Hayden and Rebecca took the Lockblock. They were the last two teams. The task was to search amongst several thousand locks to find the one that their key would open. The teams faced the additional time pressure of their havign to travel down from the Roadblock task area by sky gondola, which stopped operations after a certain time. With the departure of the last gondola looming, Hayden decided to quit and take the penalty, figuring that Rebecca would also have to quit and that she and Aaron could beat them to the Pit Stop. At (from the editing appeared to be) the last possible moment, Rebecca found her lock so didn’t have to take the penalty.

But Hayden got a marriage proposal out of it, so that’s something I guess.

Here’s something interesting about Rebecca: I kind of hated her, a little bit, when she was on the Race, but now that she’s on Work Out? I kind of _love_ her. Just a little, but _still_. She is a beautiful girl, if superficial, and her body is _killer_, oh my lands!

(OK, in retrospect? That comment says more about me than it does about Rebecca. Oh, well.)

Heh. Okay, she’s very entertaining on Work Out (the few I’ve seen, anyway). Like when she was bragging about and _showing pictures_ of her (not-Adam) boyfriend’s gigantic penis…she’s massively inappropriate, but in the proper place, that’s fun to watch.

Stupid CBS scheduling…_sigh_…they’re really starting to irritate me. I lost about 15 minutes in the middle before I remembered to start recording “Cold Case”.

I was surprised that given how difficult it seemed to get a flight out, the producers didn’t have a reservation made for the teams that would keep them all at least generally together. Like they did flying out of South America. That struck me as weird.

I was also sad to see Ian and Terri go…I liked them this season.

And while I didn’t see the comment the BQ’s made, I did an eyeroll in my living room when I saw the “Too Hot to Handle” shirts. Not because I think they’re unattractive, but just because I think anyone that wears something like that is a moron. So that could have been the reaction that the BQ’s had. Let’s face it, it’s way tacky.

Now if they had a “My Ox is Broken!!!” t-shirt from TWOP, then I’d have been impressed.

🙂

I’m really getting tired of airport shuffle. Over the 11 seasons of TAR, we’ve probably seen the insides of every airport in the free world. It would have made for a much more exciting episode if the clue had just said, “Get to Dar-es-Salaam any way you can!” Maybe some teams would have waited on standby with the rest opting to take a bus – or even hitch a ride in the back of an open truck! Now that would have been good TV.

</div>

That would’ve been excellent – I was thinking that they could’ve gotten there by train, faster than by air. Logistically, it might be difficult for the TAR production team to be flexible enough to accompany the racers on an any-way-you-can leg…but I’m sure they could come up with a creative solution.

Realistically, though, even if this option was available, I bet every racer would gamble on a flight coming through, over committing to a long bus ride.

I agree, the airport shuffle is tiring. There’s always one episode that is nothing but airport drama. It gets old.
