Something I’m surprised I haven’t seen any reporting on—- _Who authorized a massive “STOP THE STEAL” demonstration for January 6th?_ Is that something Trump can do unilaterally, or did he have to bully several government organizations into agreeing to it? Because it seems like a recipe for disaster, security-wise. Was there no one able to say - You can have that rally on the 5th or 7th, but not on the sixth? This is an example of how entrenched Trumpism has come inside our government. They need to not just investigate the anemic law enforcement response but the entire event. They had an event, scheduled outside the Capitol on the day the election was certified, called “STOP THE STEAL” and invited millions of armed protesters to attend. THIS needs to be investigated, and they need to stop acting surprised at what happened. And they need to look really carefully at every single employee, especially in the law enforcement agencies. I’m betting most of them are Republican, and a large number of Republicans believe the election was fraudulent.
