I happened to stumble across [The American Presidency Project](http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/showelection.php?year=1920) with a history of all the Presidential Elections and the Red/Blue states, and how things have certainly changed over the years!

Use the drop down box to choose any year you wish and see how the electoral votes went that year.

Plus, there are some other interesting tibits to look over on this site. Enjoy.

Interesting so many people voted for the Republican candidate (Grant) in the South in 1868, was Horatio Seymour that bad?

A lot of Southern whites couldn’t vote, and a lot of Southern blacks, all of a sudden, could. So it’s not that he was a bad candidate. It’s just that most Southern Democrats were disenfranchised.

Is that true? I thought that once a state had regained its Congressional Seats and electoral votes, only former confederate officers were disenfranchised.
