OP: Why do you feel an amazing coincidence is something to shrug away as uninteresting?
For myself, I find these sort of coincidences fascinating because the odds are so great. That’s what a coincidence is, and why there’s even a word for it.
Nitpick, and not really relevant to the topic, I admit. They’re suns. Tattoine orbits a binary star system.
For every phenomenon that’s a mind-boggling coincidence, there are billions of occurrences that are not coincidences at all, and not even noticed. I’ve been to solar eclipses, and can appreciate and marvel at the phenomenon, but it’s just one fact, among all the random events that are less spectacular.
