The show actually gave us the rejected prototypes, while the Apprenti-bots intended for our viewing pleasure were toiling in Trump’s underground gold mines. Rest assured that once the finale is over, the rejected batch that we viewed during the season will be rounded up, shipped off, and summarily disabled to protect the unsuspecting populace from their corporate inabilities. ---

You can really tell that Tana has access to large quantities of makeup at an employee discount. When Tana and Carolyn were in the car I had a raging inner snob moment thinking about how Carolyn must feel being up close to Tana’s makeup. Sometimes I feel like the sheer amount of makeup can give a woman authority. I don’t know how I could possibly stand up to someone with the balls to wear that much blush. You know women who wear that much makeup just don’t give a shit and there’s something about it that makes me feel like I’m not really dealing with someone who’s playing by the established rules of society. Because she obviously doesn’t worry what anyone thinks. Hmm… the rogue rouge principle! At any rate, Tana’s got it in spades. Her face is utterly outrageous and I don’t think I could stand up to it. There is no way Carolyn doesn’t feel it. Carolyn is from _our_ planet. Oh that reminds me of my favorite moment in the show when Kristin gets in a fight with the guys about whether she looks good in a hat. Talk about balls. If someone tells you you look bad in a hat and your answer is “no I’ve seen photos of me in a hat and I look good in a hat so screw you!” That would be so admirable if she didn’t look so stupid in hats and weren’t such a pissy jerk. ---

I changed my mind. My favorite moment wasn’t the Kristin hat thing, it was when Craig got fired and then they had a lingering shot of Carolyn looking like she was pondering the whole folly of human existence and her role in one man’s degredation and just reflecting about her life and how she came to this moment in time. It was very arty. To me the show is all about Carolyn’s stoic journey. I’m sure if I ever read any books she’d remind me of some classic literary figure. ---

Don’t be silly, terrorist training school students are fanatically dedicated to their employers. They take direction, don’t ask questions, and execute plans quickly and efficiently. Kendra’s got Danny. Who sang. It was so painful last night hearing his “Ode to Best Buy.” I can not believe he run a company. And I’d forgotten how much I hated Erin until I saw her again. (Cut the bangs!) And Tana - wow… maybe she can try to convince someone that Steel Cage Deathmatch is a new olympic event and put Chris, Brian, and Kristen in there in a fight to the death. It would play to her team members’ strengths. They could be useful. I don’t blame her for asking to switch assistants…though I wonder who she planned to switch them with. People off the street? Robin (she’s there, in the lobby. She’s professional)? There’s no combination of those 6 which wouldn’t suck. ---

Changing the subject … regarding the show’s format … So I understand that the contestants are sequestered during the shooting of all of their tasks. And, from I’ve read, all the filming was done about a year ago. Assuming that the last episode two weeks from now is live, are we to believe that since the filming of the final tasks have been completed that neither Tana or Kendra knows who won the apprentice job? That’s a long time to wait for a decision. Or do they know, but have been sworn to secrecy? Even if they don’t know, wouldn’t they have a pretty good notion based on how their final tasks ended up? IMO, the only thing that could’ve stopped a Kendra win would’ve been a complete meltdown on her final task. ---

Okay, maybe I’m extra-sensitive to this, cuz I’m from Iowa too – but after what the interviewers said about Tana, “mom from Iowa”, and not being accustomed to big city ways, I’m thinking that’s how Trump is going to see her. Not quite “hick”, but put “mom” and “Iowa” together, and it’s a stretch to get to “dynamic” and “powerful”. If Kendra and Tana come out close to even on the tasks, Kendra gets the job. I know, my bias is showing, but at least two of the interviewers seemed to think that Tana’s background will be a minus for Trump. ---
