I feel like this thread merits a bump today. Nothing of what Trump is doing with regards to Venezuela is remotely legal. Will Trump be stopped? Will he be impeached and removed from office? Will the 25th Amendment be invoked? Will the military decide these orders are illegal and throw a coup? Will Trump suffer _any consequences at all_? ---

There have been times and situations in which Trump has been stopped, and I continue to hold that he is not undefeatable and that this madness shall pass, but I must admit that emerging circumstances have made me feel more and more like Marge Simpson of late. What I find depressing is that even now, there are people who dismiss the existential threat of MAGA. They think that when Trump die “America will go back to normal” whatever the fuck that means. Roughly 45% of Americans are violent racist assholes and they still will be the day after Trump,dies. ---
