Yes, the Republican Party.
And I am still waiting for you to explain to everyone why me fighting the Supreme Court is the one and only avenue I can possibly take.
Isn’t that like expecting the Nazi Party to protect the people from Hitler?
It was your idea. You tell me.
But not from the Party.
LOST: Goalposts
LAST SEEN: Receding into the far distance.
We seem to have inexplicably moved from “fascism isn’t happening so stop panicking” to “if fascism is happening, why aren’t you panicking more?”.
Meanwhile: ask a trans person if they think fascism is happening.
As I said in another thread, we’re seeing them go through the cycle of:
It’s not happening
It’s happening, but it’s not that bad
It’s happening, but it’s not happening to people who matter
It’s happening and it’s good
I’m going to help it happen
It never happened
Elon Musk, clearly inspired by the fourth Die Hard movie, just pulled off a six trillion dollar heist:
Since this involves
the personal information of millions of Americans who receive Social Security payments, tax refunds and other monies from the government.
I might be looking into luggage if I were a US citizen.
I’m looking into leaving Canada, since Trump is going to arrange an invasion. I need to be prepared get my kid. at least, out of the line of fire.
Because no one is trying to stop Trump.
There are still accurate media reports. But they do not, to my limited knowledge, specify any Supreme Court member or Republican congressperson or senator who has voiced objections to stopping foreign aid, outrageous tariffs on allies, access to government payments by unelected officials, or discussions violating settled peremptory legal norms (jus cogens) that are disdainful of territorial expansion, torture and refoulement.
So true. I also have been looking for someone, anyone, to criticize this man before it’s too late. What a disgrace.
It’s probably been posted before, but I’m wondering how boring @Buck_Godot finds it now.
Other than the judges who struck down his EO on birthright citizenship, or his EO on the budget freeze, or…
Would you mind linking to the goods news that these EOs have been permanently struck down?
Why aren’t more requests for court injunctions being filed, especially against Musk? A judge needs to order him to get the hell away from any government computer.
What does that have to do with my post?
I was responding to:
If they haven’t stopped him permanently yet, that means that “no one is trying”? Interesting.
So, no cites for any EOs that judges struck down.
From over here it looks one could be forgiven to think the whole fucking country is doing little but bending over backwards to accommodate Trump.
Is there even one (1) significant protest in the whole of the USA?
Don’t you understand that “temporarily paused” is just another way of saying “struck down” and/or “permanently stopped and there’s nothing Trump can do about it”…???

Today on ABC (George Stephanopoulos’s “This Week”), Chris Christie described Trump’s enjoyment of the “courts will stop him (hardy-har-har)” game:
