We should expect to see lots of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube productions featuring Big Strong Manly Men saying they believe in Trump and will Do Whatever It Takes For Trump, with large-denomination checks shown as the backgrounds.

Wait till these people realize he doesn’t have the money to make them rich. The various cash grabs like the Bible and watches etc. are evidence of that alone. Rich people don’t need get-rich-quick schemes- they already are.
It won’t matter. Hate and selfishness will rule over common sense and reality.
I’m not sure that this holds for Trump - he could never be happy with how much he has. I suspect he finds the grift rewarding for its own sake (as well as for the money).
I agree, I think he’s like a dog chasing a car in that regard. He can stack up billions upon billions but it won’t make him happy and it won’t make people like him (unless he pays them to, which he is loath to do). And while I’m sure he’d give it all up for just one more day with Jeffrey, that ship has sailed and he’s now in a gilded junk prison of his own making where he will die, rich numerically but bereft of anything of actual value.

So while laws and traditions and common dignity continue to fail in the face of Trump’s absurdity, we can rest assured that his own body hates him every bit as much as we do and the inevitable will happen sooner rather than later.
If it’s true that he was the 79-year-old given exclusive access to retatrutide by the FDA, then he also has pulmonary hypertension and sleep apnea (which would explain his being awake all night and then falling asleep repeatedly during the day).
Am I the only one that thinks a few of his “health problems” are a way to get people to back off, feeding the claim that we shouldn’t worry too much because he can’t possibly last much longer?
All the talk of his serious health problems seem to me to come from his detractors, unless you are suggesting they are deliberately planted “false flags”.
I think the talk about his health problems is substantially wishful thinking. People want so badly for him to not to be able to do more damage they grab onto any hope. Undoubtedly Trump has all the health problems that someone of his age, physique etc usually has - but they aren’t a death sentence or an indication that he will become physically unable to finish his term - especially with the level of health care available to him.
There’s absolutely no way that Trump’s ego would permit him to let his underlings describe him as anything other than the healthiest human being who ever lived.
If I understand you correctly, I too want him impeached and disgraced. He’ll never see a jail cell, but one can hope.
Dying is the easy way out.
He’s a snake, for sure, but he’s so brazen about his corruption I don’t think he’s going to bother with this kind of deception. Even if Trump’s people were capable of such an elaborate ruse, it would require us to ignore what we can see with our own eyes. There is clearly something wrong with Trump (beyond his personality).
He’s clearly in poor mental and physical shape. Whether either of them imply imminent death is a different question.
We’ve been telling them that for a decade and just over the last few days we’ve seen the results of his latest grift with articles saying things like “Nearly 1 million investors in President Donald Trump’s memecoin have lost a massive $3.8 billion on their investments”, and they still don’t get it. I’d all but guarantee he could launch another memecoin today, even with those articles currently in circulation, and plenty of people would still buy into it, probably with a lot of overlap from the previous one.
At this point, the way I see it, if giving your life savings to Trump is what it takes, so be it. I’d, honestly, rather that wasn’t the case. I hate to see people go broke over something like this, but for a lot of people, I think it’s going to take losing all their money and instead of seeing the benefits they thought would come from it, they see Trump with his hand out looking for more.
I somewhat agree with that. The guy somehow pushes his way through every blockade. If the only way to get rid of him is his death, it’s hard not to look for anything that suggests his health is failing. I think we all know that whatever is going on with his hand, for example, doesn’t mean he’s going to drop dead this afternoon, but like you said, wishful thinking.
I also think part of it is the fact that he lies about his health. We assume or want to assume, it’s a coverup for some serious health issues but I think a lot of it is just vanity or narcissism. When he says “the doctor said I’m the healthiest president ever” it’s pretty easy to see that’s bullshit and wonder why he’d lie about it. If he said “the doctor said I could stand to lose a few pounds, but other than that, things are fine, labs came back normal, and he wants to see me in a year” we probably wouldn’t question it.
Same with his hand. If he had said ‘I was walking and hit it on the back of a chair and it’s all bruised up’, there probably wouldn’t be all these rumors about it.
OTOH, I think, at least in part (the other part being his narcissism) he lies about these types of things is because he knows full well that the rumor mill will serve as a distraction for a little while.
That might be part of it, but I think Trump lies out of habit even when it gains him nothing.

I actually think there’s a meaningful distinction to be made here.
Some/many would argue that Trump isn’t so much a liar, but that he’s an inveterate bullshitter (NB: this was written at the very beginning of Trump’s first term. I doubt they knew how right they were, and how much worse it could/would get):
Bullshitters, as philosopher Harry Frankfurt wrote in his 1986 essay “On Bullshit,” don’t care whether what they are saying is factually correct or not. Instead, bullshit is characterized by a “lack of connection to a concern with truth [and] indifference to how things really are.” Frankfurt explains that a bullshitter “does not care whether the things he says describe reality correctly. He just picks them out, or makes them up, to suit his purpose.”
When you think about his Cabinet – particularly in Trump 2.0 – or when you think (even only) about Natalie Harp, a/k/a “The Human Printer,” it becomes a pretty difficult argument to refute.
It also helps explain why:
Journalists, scientists, experts and even government officials who disagree with him are subject to charges of ineptitude, partisanship or conspiracy. They’re then threatened with restrictions on funding, access and speech.
The word ‘insidious’ truly doesn’t begin to cover it.
Ah, but… I get the strong feeling all this would do is get them angrier at ”the system” in general, rather than at him, and they’d double down on the whole “let it all burn” angle.
(Plus a lot of these people, I’m sure, will KNOW it’s all a scam, but will anyway gamble on that they’ll be among the early tiers who will be able to walk away while they’re still ahead and leave someone else hanging.)
At a certain point, that’s on them. If you can spend 10 years sending all your money to Trump while telling the dumacrats they’re wrong for calling him a grifter, that’s on you. If you run out of money and you still believe that if you just give him a little more, you’ll finally get whatever it is you think you have coming, there’s not much anyone can do. Blame Trump, blame ‘the system’, it doesn’t really change anything. At some point you have to snap out of it. Maybe that’s running out of money, maybe it’s your family intervening, either on their own or dragging you to a counselor of some type.
Every time I hear about the latest grift, at least WRT the ones targeted at ‘regular’ people (ie memecoins, Trump phones etc), I hear:

He’s actually, actively making them poor. That “lost 97% of its value” figure recently disclosed about the Trump Meme Coin (aka $TRUMP) is going to stay with me for a long time.
No doubt there are many elderly MAGA who gave Donald their $100,000 life savings, which is now worth $3,000. That’ll last, Grandpa. At least a month!
I think he actually IS unwell, but that this situation serves him----yes, people are less prone to taking action because they think the problem will be solved very soon (by his death).
So, in a way, Donald’s ill health IS the Opiate of the Masses.
Worth remembering that – like oh, so very many things – redistribution of wealth is yet another stellar example of accuse the other of that you are guilty.
