Here’s a thought, have you considered a sculpture instead of a print? Or maybe a plaque, if you really want something to display on your wall?
Here is a gaurdian gargoyle style dragon. I am very fortunate to own a pair of small gilt (sp?) accented white dragons from Japan. I haven’t been able to find any like mine so far, they are very tastefully done. Perhaps some Dopers in Japan would be so kind as to put up some links to Japanese dragon artwork for sale. I can’t help but smile at the baby dragon sculpture from this site. (Just search “baby dragon statue” and you’ll find him) He just looks so cranky, but still cute. I wouldn’t put him in a super formal setting, but I like whimisical touches. I might put these two in my bedroom for instance. Wood Dragon sculptures?
