**bobkitty** : Now I’m wondering what, if any, procedures the police force does happen to have for dispatching a wounded animal. I mean, the cop is certainly not a veterinarian, so perhaps there is–and it pains me to say this–a law that actuall _prevents_ the cops from putting the dog down after the first volley of shots negated the threat from the dog. ---
