Just a heads up to everyone here who likes to hear dopers fighting ignorance beyond the boards - there’s a great 50 minute long radio show archived [here](http://www.theconnection.org/shows/2002/11/20021120_b_main.asp) where Phil is interviewed, along with a couple of other people on both sides of the ‘moon hoax’ argument (such as it is). I particularly enjoyed the phone call from the scientist who came from the USSR, and talks about the fact that not one person in the Soviet Union (in academia or even the communist party) had any doubts about the moon landing.

Well done again, Phil 🙂

Well, whichever thread you link from, it’s worth hearing (and if you have the full 51 minutes, it’s worth hearing from start to finish, IMO).

Notice how the best way to discount these conspiricy theories is to allow the strongest believers in them free rein to make their case.

Sad, reminds me of this crazy Christian Scientist I once knew who loved to argue in weird retorical circles.
