Limbaugh has blamed this on Obama:

I have only heard snippets of Mr Limbaugh but if that’s an accurate quote, what a twit. As if the President had something to do with tacitly approving it. It is my general impression that the election of Mr Obama has simmered things down a bit. I certainly hope so.
