Duels in Bedfordshire just got a lot less interesting.
Wonder what the “class A” drug was. In the U.K. that classification covers such drugs as heroin and crack, but also includes “magic mushrooms”.

It would be kind of awesome if it became trendy for gangsters to walk around with muzzle loading antique firearms. Not like they have a reputation for being good shots to begin with.

The City of Reno has banned the carrying of whips in the city limits (or something like that). It seems the homeless use them for self protection, maybe as a weapon for robbin’ people. The cracking sound led to numerous reports of gunfire and wasted police time.
Yes, I said whips. That is some old High Plains Drifter bullshit there.

A while back, I knew a guy who told me of a loophole in US firearms law. Black powder guns, even those made recently, are classified as antique weapons which exempts them from nearly all the gun laws. Thus, a felon could legally walk around with an old-west style cap and ball revolver.

NB: In the State of Washington, blackpowder firearms are treated just like firearms that used fixed ammunition. Without a Concealed Carry Permit, you have to wait for your 1860 Colt Navy.

The fun thing about Federal law is that muzzle loaders are exempt from most restrictions. So it is perfectly ok, under Federal law, to own your own [Napoleon](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_obusier_de_12). Not really concealable, but does attract the eye being towed down the road behind your Subaru.
