No, **Eve** is referring to the accidental double posting by **CalMeacham** (“Eve: Wonderfully bizarre!”). ---

(Anyone watch the Tod Browning film, _The Unknown_, starring Lon Chaney and Joan Crawford, last Sunday? One of the most bizarre movie experiences I’ve ever had. And it was made in 1927!) \*\* Yay, Chaney! They’re also showing the only “talkie” that Chaney made, the remake of _Unholy Three_ . Really, really nifty. I’m a huge fan. Last Halloween I even went as Chaney from _London After Midnight_. Got a lot of “Look, Honey- A dead person!” Well, yessss, technically… Yay! Did you see _Tell it to the Marines_ when it was on a couple months ago? Great stuff. The first DVD I bought myself was _The Penalty_. I’m a sucker for it. Didn’t hurt seeing some of his stuff on display out in LA years ago. AL [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/the-beginning-of-sound-movies/208498.md?page=2)
