You’re dead wrong. Many blacks were citizens in the 1790s. You simply don’t understand the difference between state and federal citizenship, probably because your are a centralizer. In those days, state citizenship was more significant. The Naturalization Act allowed blacks to be citiznes in their states. You just ignore what the Act did for Jews and Catholics probably because you don’t much care for them. ---

I’m sorry, but the Founding Fathers could not wave their magic wands and end all injustice in this world. But they did do a great deal to increase the liberty and security of many people. They would have ended slavery iof they had the power to do so. They had a lot of wisdom on how to operate a government. They have a lot more credibility than Bush or Obama. ---

I tell you, it’s a damned shame that the founding fathers never founded a government. If they had, they could have banned slavery completely as it was (iirc) in the original draft, rather than including it back in at the specific requirement of some of the founding fathers.
