“The Day the Earth Stood Still” Well, sorta. The story that provided the basis for this movie (“Farewell to the Master”) had a great surprise last line in it that was not included in the movie. I’ll not repeat it here, though, lest it spoil the surprise ending for anyone who hasn’t read the story. ---
