An impressive addition of futuristic movies, Nemo. Part of me wants to go back and watch (re-watch) every movie set after 2013 so I can see how the future won’t play out. Past movies set in the future that have already passed don’t seem to be very good predictors. I’m surprised that In Time is set so far in the future. I guess Justin Timberlake likes to dress retro.

I agree with an above poster that The King’s Speech covers too much ground to be pinned to a specific year. I would say the same about The Artist. Starts in 1928, but continues into the early 1930s, and the story turns on events of 1929.
Now I’m going to rack my brain for a 1960 title. And can I say how much I love you guys on account of no one has mentioned Dirty Dancing for 1963? Actually, I would suggest Shag for that year, but the thread title does not end with “…that no one else has ever heard of.”
