I like a lot of the euphemisms for drunk, but I think plastered is my favorite in terms of the image I get. The word sounds good too, but the _type_ of drunk imagine when I hear plastered is amusing. Drunk to the point of being pretty much incapacitated, but not sick or passed out. A person who is plastered generally isn’t obnoxiously loud (in my mind), though they may be boisterous. I picture someone in the later stages of drunkeness who is having fun, before things catch up to them. ---
