White linen service, and a vase with silk flowers. The waiter brought me a cocktail while I perused the menu, which generally featured your choice of two appetizers, two or three entrees, and a couple of desserts. There was a small, but decent, selection of wines to accompany your meal, and coffee to go with dessert. I need to take a long-distance train trip again; to see if the dining car is still there. ---
