I had a friend from New York, and EVERY time I had cheesecake, pizza, or bagels around him, he felt morally obligated to pipe in “You know that’s not REAL (foodname). You can only get that in New York.”

I don’t know why people feel like they have to say shit like that. It’s arrogant and annoying. \>:[

The best lobster is only found in Maine  
especially fresh off the boat, I’ve tried it from the local resturants (Weathervane, Bob’s Clam Hut, Bosn’s Landing) and they’re excellent, but getting them fresh off the boat, it can’t be beat

Guilin Rice Noodles.  
Even inside China, you can’t get decent Guilin rice noodles outside the city of Guilin. I don’t know what it is. Some fresh herb grown only atop a single karst than cannot be transported. A secret recipe known to only one man passed down through the generations and sworn to secrecy. Magic. I’m not sure.
