The bible It is a book containing the knowledge of good and evil. The forbidden fruit was not an apple. The fruit of a tree is also paper. And upon the pages of the bible is the knowledge of good and evil. The bible is poisoned with the knowledge of evil. Ritualistic animal sacrifices, ceremonies incorporating the blood of dead animals, superstitious numbers, curses, evil spirits, dark prophecies… all in the bible. Plotting, conspiracy, mass-murder, betrayal, genocide, slavery, suffering, wars… all in the bible. A book is not ‘Holy’ if it contains the knowledge of evil, Satan, the devil, demons… It is darkness. It is contaminated. It is unclean. It is poison. Religion is the church of the poison mind. Minds poisoned by the knowledge of evil. People are deceived by religion. The kingdom of God is within us all. Not within the pages of a book containing the knowledge of evil. I have recently shut it for good. I will not touch, nor taste of it again. Because of Jesus Christ, I’m back in the land of the living. I’ve torn off my fig-leaf, and am returning to Eden. I am who God made me to be. The shame, guilt, and confusion is past-tense. Thank You Jesus. Backing up **Czarcasm** here, the only stories about Jesus are in the bible. He’s barely even mentioned anywhere else, and certainly not in any sense as a “messiah.” Therefore, whether you’re read, heard or seen stories about the man, they all have their basis in the bible, so by your logic are evil. Mind you, I certainly don’t think they’re even _true_, but you might want to give your philosophy some more thought. It’s a bit contradictory. ---

Unless I am really REALLY mistaken, the bible was written well after Adam and Eves time, and about people that only came to exist because of their sin of “eating the forbidden fruit.” Put the pipe down and try reading a little more… ---

BTW, I don’t think paper is a fruit (except maybe for public lunchrooms during the Reagan Administration). It’s made from pulp, which is from the wood (not the fruit) of the tree, though in OT times it was made from grasses instead of trees anyway. ---

You know, as Christian witnessing goes, I kind of like this one. At least it’s a fresh perspective. I’ve known quite a few Christians who didn’t think the Bible was accurate, but this is the first time I’ve seen one who considered it poisonous. Besides, he gets bonus points for ending it with _Imagine_. My favourite really-unusual-take-on-Christianity, though, remains [the belief among some gnostics](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnostics) that the God of the Old Testament is evil, and the Serpent was a hero. ---

From John, chapter 1 In the beginning was the word and the word was God. So the Bible IS God’s word, it respresents everything He wanted to say. It CANNOT be evil. This person is nuts. ---
