Meh, he’s just riding Trump’s coat tails. If Trump hadn’t mismanaged the Pandemic and crashed the economy in 2020 there is no way it could have rebounded the way it did. So Trump’s really the one who deserves all the credit. MAGA! (in case it needs to be said no I’m not serious) ---

Update on the raid: PBS Newshour metioned that a second-in-command lieutenant and his wife were also got taken out, _using their children as shields_. A neighbour said Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi had been there for eleven months and never heard from him and always paid his rent. At first it was decided to take the place out by the air, but it was too much of a risk to civilians; they stormed by foot instead. ---

Yeah wierd this thread again. Just watched on [PBS Newshour](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/congress-moves-forward-on-1-5-trillion-mega-bill) the passing of $1.5 trillion government funding bill, some key points being: - Broad spending increases (for both defense and non-defense) - “Community Projects” (or earmarks) (first time in over a decade) - Ukraine: $13.6 billion. (half military, half humanitarian / diplomatic) - $1.45 billion to shore up the southern border. (something that should piss off Republicans, who salivate at blowing that situation out of porportion) Plus _oodles_ of other stuff that Lisa elaborates on in the link, like stuff on the Violence Against Women Act, the postal service and the Emmit Till Anti-Lynching Measure. 2,500 pages of whole grain goodness. 🍞 ! Worth the 5:46. ---
