her ancestors could have been Jewish as well, I have Jewish ancestors but none of us are of that faith anymore. ---

Vitriol aside, you do have a point that Poland has the highest “Righteous Among Nations” awards. However, Poland also had by far the largest native Jewish population, giving more opportunity to help Jews escape than other nations. Schindler’s List? Krakow. I think the argument that Poles and Jews don’t mix is because Poland had one of the lowest survival rates of any holocaust nation. Maybe Poles themselves weren’t dangerous for Jews but Poland was. I find the Polish connection a bit of a disconnect since it doesn’t take a degree in History to know that Poles were on Hitler’s shit list along with the Jews. I didn’t think it was a stereotype that Polish people didn’t like Jews until this thread/episode. It may be a case where the writers of the show and the posters in this thread thought “eh, close enough?” with respect to Germany and Poland? ---

Uhhh, Mr. Moderator, sir? May I gently point out that this thread is nearly a year old? I’m all in favor of taking the discussion of Poland’s role in the Holocaust out of the this sitcom thread, of course, and I recognize that this tangent technically began during the thread’s previous incarnation. That said, that hijack _was_ only there for the last week of that incarnation, and I guess what I’m really trying to get at is that this is one of the small number of zombies that _should_ be locked. ---
