New Model Sheldon might not lecture you on the correct name of that piece of music, but he would also not just call it 2001: A Space Odyssey.

He would if the piece of music Amy started to soothe him with was a movie/TV theme. Sheldon would have stayed with the classification.

But the writers, wanting most of the viewers to get the reference, would.
