Not only is little Johnny so special that he can’t walk 200 feet, he also apparently can’t stand outside on a perfectly sunny pre-fall day. He has to sit in the SUV and wait until the bus has shuddered to a stop - THEN he can gather up his gear (backpack, luggage hauler, books, jacket, lunch, WTFever else he has) and saunter to the bus. :rolleyes: It’s optional whether mom unloads herself from the SUV to have a 5 minute conversation with the bus driver while commuters pile up behind.
Maybe I’ve been reading too much on the Crime Library website, but I always assumed that most of this behavior was a by-product of parents afraid for their children being abducted by strangers. Or worse.
